In association with our partner company, Practical Ecology Ltd, Hayden’s are pleased to be able to provide a range of ecological services.
Practical Ecology Ltd work with a range of clients from large housing developers to architects, planners and private individuals and tailor their service on a project by project basis. Practical Ecology Ltd provide and implement pragmatic mitigation solutions and hope to minimise the risk of unforeseen programme delays and any subsequent costs. Services include:

  • Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys
  • BREAAM/Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments
  • Protected species surveys (great crested newt, bats, badgers, water vole etc.)
  • Ecological mitigation
  • Ecological Management Plans (EcMP)
  • Ecological Clerk of Works (EcCW)
  • Invasive weed surveys and mitigation

All reports are provided in an electronic format along with digitalised plans, produced by the CAD technicians at Hayden’s, where required.

Cyrise Rusted is an experienced and enthusiastic ecologist with over ten years experience in ecological consultancy. Louisa Whitthread joined Practical Ecology Ltd in early 2012. Prior to this she worked for an ecological consultancy in Cambridgeshire and as a volunteer reserves assistant for Cambridgeshire Wildlife Trust.
